A bit of an update of my recent projects!

As Christmas approaches suddenly blogging from my end becomes very quiet! Everything I was making is a secret and ready to be packaged off and sent away to friends and family. So I thought I would do a little summary of the things I made in the run up to 2015.

I was asked to make some bunting for an advent calendar.  It was a really fun project - and quite simple once I got going.  The triangles were just made from 2 squares of fabric sewn together and then turned inside out before being folded into the bunting flags.

This is a decoration that I made at a sewing evening I helped with during December.  It is a perfect project for Christmas and yes not a stitch in sight!  A lovely combination of squares, folding and lots of little pins.

And here is my first attempt at quilting.  My sister was expecting a baby ( the lovely Jacob has now arrived:) ) and I decided a perfect gift would be a quilt.  It grew as I sewed because I kept changing how I wanted things to look so in the end turned out to be more of a play mat but I was still pretty proud of it in the end.
Definitely realized that I am a novice quilter and had a few unpicking sessions along the way but was really proud of the applique!

And I made a few more gifts - some little bags and a night dress but I unfortunately didn't take any photos.  I might add them at a later date!
What did you craft over Christmas now the date has passed and we can share our creations?
